Introspection
STRIKE MAGAZINE UF ISSUE V, PHASE 2
After experiencing affliction, we turn inward. Phase 2, Introspection, embodies the discovery and pursuit of the shadows that hide deep within our psyche. In this phase of manifesting our greatest potential, we must tend to the emotional wounds carved by past experiences, traumas and relationships. We look to these shadows and bravely shine a light on past pains in the name of self-discovery and growth. Only then, may we embark on a path towards healing.
“While creating the concept behind our film we had one goal in mind: to symbolically represent the acts of self reflecting from within. Our film aims to replicate this process of examining yourself from inside out.”

BEHIND THE SCENES
“Phase 2 deals with handling internal difficulties personally. In this phase of manifestation, we have to look inward to find the parts of ourselves that are holding us back from something greater. We used a theater as the setting to represent the internal and personal aspect of this phase, like you are watching a play and all of the characters are the different versions, parts and aspects of yourself.”
— ASHLEY NOVELLO, CONTENT TEAM ORANGE DIRECTOR
“In Phase 2, we process. We affirm healing isn’t linear, yet it begins with us. It begins with us recognizing the growth in solitude, and how this catalyzes an intimate relationship with ourselves— one that was once overshadowed by abundant affliction. As an editorial team, we looked to grief for growth and drew inspiration from our shared suffering. This vulnerability produced art that is reflective of universal human experiences and emphasizes how imperative it is we reflect on said experiences.”
