Fendi’s Fall Ready-to-Wear Collection Embodies the Corporate Fashion Flair We All Need

Fendi, known for iconic fur, leather, and luxury bags, has once again established the need for corporate chic. This morning, the Milan Autumn/Winter 2023 show displayed the continued Ready-to-Wear collection, ideally suited for the working woman and beyond.

The show began with a geometric light tunnel encapsulating the models as they strutted down the runway in leather boots peeking out from flowing fabrics.

Artistic Director, Kim Jones, presented an array of looks highlighted by neutral gray tones contrasted by leather and successfully stacked blue on black to create visually appealing looks. As neutrals dominated the show, not a vibrant color was sighted until much later, when fuchsia and orange silky draping dresses ended the show. Jones also juxtaposed feminine and masculine silhouettes and experimented with asymmetrical cuts.

The kaleidoscopic tunnel presented the transition from blues and blacks, to taupes, to pinks and oranges, creating an atmosphere aligned with the contemporary styles.

The show wouldn't be definitive of Fendi's impact if it didn't include a matching handbag to balance each look. The accessories, styled by Silvia Venturini Fendi, perfectly coincided with the structure of the show as each one tied the on-the-go outfits together. The collection embodied the image of powerful women walking into work or out on the town, never forgetting their Fendi Baguette in hand.

Fendi's classic modesty was shown in the collared blouses, high necklines, and floor-length trenches. The luxurious nature of House Fendi, defined by Italian craftsmanship in leather, contrasting fabrics and textures, and modern trends, including multiple layered skirt-over-pants moments, stole the show.

Looking at the face, each model sported a side-swept, slicked-down, or cropped hair, emphasizing the clothes even further. Not to say the jewelry, styled by Delfina Delettrez Fendi, went unnoticed as Fendi earrings were on full display. The 2023 collection's lack of Fendi labels and prints in the clothing was balanced by subtle hints of the fashion house in the accessories. Though, when it came to announcing the brand, the bags and belts did the talking.

The runway acted as an extension of Fendi's initiatives rooted in the future of sustainable fashion and luxury styles, and we couldn’t be more pleased.
