After a world tour that took Tommy Hilfiger to Shanghai, London, and Paris, he's back, making a stylish return to the New York Fashion Week stage! After all, as Hilfiger puts it, "New York is home. It felt like it was time to commit to New York Fashion Week fully."

The fashion show was held at the Grand Central Oyster Bar with a star-studded guest list, including Sofia Richie, Junho, Noah Beck, Damson Idris, and Edison Chen.

The entire collection was, in a way, an ode to New York, with Hilfiger stating, “As a young designer, it was the birthplace of my vision. The pulse of the city, its culture of confidence and openness, has fueled the brand since the very beginning. I’m excited to translate this feeling onto the runway with a signature Tommy twist that’s become our calling card through the decades.”

Returning to its origins in more ways than one, the show delved into the brand's original preppy aesthetic while also reinventing and enhancing essential pieces. The lineup featured 59 looks that transcended gender boundaries, offering diverse styles for both women and men. The collection featured a number of staple pieces, such as pleated skirts, chunky turtleneck sweaters, and blazers.

The standout theme? Oversized all the way! Tommy stepped away from his classic tailored and fitted styles, highlighting peacoats, varsity jackets, and sweater vests in an oversized aesthetic complemented by scarves that reached knee length, contributing to the overall statement of relaxed, voluminous chic.

Echoing throughout the collection were recurring themes such as various shades of brown, stripes, and slouchy trousers. While Hilfiger remained faithful to his signature red and blue hues, he presented them in a more understated manner. The collection strayed away from the logo, opting instead to weave the iconic Hilfiger red into the fabric of pants, vests, and scarves.

Guess what's making a return? Hilfiger gave us the heads-up that corduroy is making a comeback this fall. Several of his pieces, including jackets and pants, featured this incredible fabric. Not stopping there, snake print is also returning to the world of footwear. Several models confidently walked the runway, flaunting knee-high snake print boots.

Hilfiger’s comeback is reliable, classic, and stylish. It's safe to say we're thrilled to have this exceptional designer back in his hometown.
