The Fashion of Bonnaroo

With the recently released 2020 lineup, many festival goers are already beginning to prepare their trip to Bonnaroo this summer. This year’s lineup, in our opinion, is one of the greatest Bonnaroo has seen in a while due to the number of major headliners they’ve scheduled. One of our favorite parts about Bonnaroo—and something a lot of people want to experience firsthand—is that it’s a music and arts festival. Not only do you get to listen to live music and DJs, you can also see others’ creations, fashion, art, and paintings, along with doing yoga workshops at the campsite, and much more. It’s the real music festival experience. My friends and I, along with potentially many other first timers, are trying to plan the drive, camping, outfits, and everything else ahead of time. I tried getting a feel for what people tend to wear to festivals like this, and I’ve found that it’s best to wear comfortable, light, and breathable clothes since it’s in the middle of June. Bonnaroo is a great environment to step outside the box and show off some of your more unique and creative clothes, so here are some of my favorite pieces I recently bought online.

Harem Pants

These oversized pants are light, breathable, and great for dancing and moving around in, which makes them the perfect festival pants. Harem pants are meant for yoga and stretching, so you won’t have to worry about them ripping at the seams while you’re in the middle of a busy day of walking and roaming the festival grounds. They come in a wide variety of colors on Amazon for a great price, so you can let your creativity shine with these different boho prints and patterns. While already super trendy, they’re also extremely soft and stretchy. Pair these pants with a crochet top or a bralette to complete this perfect look for summer.

Crochet

Speaking of crochet, I recently bought these pants and crop top off the sale section on Princess Polly. These two immediately caught my eye because I love wearing this material. You’re able to feel free and loose because crochet is thick enough to cover everything without having to wear undergarments, if you choose. These two pieces can be worn together, or they can both serve different purposes. The white top can work when paired with jeans on a sunny day out at happy hour, and as for the pants, they’re definitely eye-catching and will make a statement.

Swimsuits

Wearing a swimsuit as a bodysuit is great for events that are outside for long periods of time. Leave worrying about sweating through your cute outfit behind because the material of this suit is super thick and waterproof. These come in a wide range of colors such as maroon, white, black, as well as bright neon colors, so you can pair it accordingly with some cute beach shorts, or a pair that are already in your closet. You’ll be catching eyes in this sexy suit while at the time feeling super comfortable. In conclusion, there’s no “right way” to do festival fashion, which makes it that much more fun! Let yourself make the memories of a lifetime while feeling comfortable and cute in the hot weather.
