Romantic Refreshments: To All the Drinks We’ve Loved Before

All you need is love and a Valentine’s-Day-inspired drink! Whether you’re in search of a festive beverage to celebrate with or an elixir that will momentarily soothe the suffering of singleness, you’re sure to fall for one of these recipes. If you can’t commit to just one, that’s OK; these drinks won’t break up with you if you sip around.

Strawberry Milk Iced Latte

Your daily caffeine fix just got a makeover. This Strawberry Milk Iced Latte is ringing in the season of love with its eye-catching hues and heavenly sweetness. It is the key to any coffee lover’s heart.

You’ll need: your milk of choice, strawberry Nesquik powder and a shot of espresso (Andrew Garfield fans, I know what you’re thinking).

To make your very own Strawberry Milk Iced Latte, mix the Nesquik powder with whatever milk your heart desires, and serve it over ice. Pour a shot of espresso over the strawberry milk, et voila! You’ll have a coffee that’s pretty in pink—almost too pretty to drink.

Love Potion Cocktail

Can you feel the love tonight? This love potion may not work in the traditional sense, but after one sip, it’ll put a love spell on you. Best of all, this recipe serves two so you can share the love with your bestie or boo.

For this magical concoction, you’ll need: a cocktail shaker, ice, 4 ounces of gin, 2 ounces of simple syrup, 2 ounces of lemon juice, 2 ounces of pomegranate juice, one egg white and small rose petals for garnish (totally optional, but we recommend it).

This stunning ruby red drink will soon be yours, so long as you follow these steps. Go ahead and grab your cocktail shaker. Add in the gin, simple syrup, lemon juice and egg white, and shake it up! Strain this mixture into two of your favorite cocktail glasses, then top it with pomegranate juice and garnish with small rose petals. Each sip will take you to a blissful, romantic paradise.

Hopeless Romantic Hibiscus Iced Tea Latte

The hibiscus tea in this recipe gives it a dazzling purplish-pink tint, and it’s just the right amount of sweet. Tea drinkers, this drink is longing to be your Valentine.

For this refreshing cold-brewed tea, you’ll need: ice, 1 hibiscus tea bag, 1 cup of filtered water, 1/2 tablespoon of sweetener (agave, honey or any other) and a splash of your milk of choice.

This tea makes itself overnight! Just place the tea bag in a small jar with a lid, then pour in the water. Place the lid on the jar, and let the tea brew in the fridge while you get your beauty sleep. When you’re ready to enjoy, serve the tea over ice, and top it off with your milk. It tastes just as irresistibly delicious as it looks.

Red Velvet Valentine Milkshake

This drinkable treat puts the sweet in sweetheart. Each sip is rich and indulgent because you deserve to treat yourself this V-Day.

For this cheery confection, you’ll need: 2 cups of vanilla ice cream, 4 tablespoons of red velvet cake mix, 1 1/2 cups of your desired milk, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons of warmed fudge sauce, whipped cream and holiday sprinkles.

This recipe serves four, so make sure to make a note of it for your Galentine’s festivities! Dip the rims of mason jars into the warmed fudge sauce, and then dip them into the holiday sprinkles. Add the ice cream, cake mix, milk and vanilla extract into a blender, then blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into each of the glasses, then top them with whipped cream and, if you feel a calling, more sprinkles!

No matter what your V-Day plans are or what your relationship status is, one of these cupid-approved drinks will be a special addition to your celebration. If you like more than one, make them all and enjoy a festive flight. The day of love calls for abundance!

Strike Out,
