In the past year, we have seen many well-known celebrities expand their niche by exploring the beauty industry. Whether they specialize in makeup, skincare, or both, a significant number of celebrities have started their own beauty brands. In addition to their extraordinary talent, these celebrities are known for their beauty, clear skin, or makeup skills, making them very influential spokespeople for their brand. Here are five of the newest celebrity beauty brands that you should check out:
Humanrace – Pharrell Williams
Pharrell Williams launched his skincare line, Humanrace, on November 25th 2020. The line includes three products: a cleanser, exfoliator, and moisturizer. Each product is suitable for all genders and skin types. When talking about the brand, Pharrell said “Humanrace Skincare doesn’t differentiate by race or gender. We’re creating for humans; we are all born in the same skin and Humanrace celebrates this.”

JLo Beauty – Jennifer Lopez
JLo Beauty, which is Jennifer Lopez’s anti-aging skincare line, launched on January 1st, 2021. The line contains eight products designed to combat aging. These range from eye creams to serums to moisturizers. And although these products are meant to prevent aging of the skin, they are suitable for all ages. The very fitting tagline of the brand is “Beauty has no expiration date.”

about-face – Halsey
about-face is Halsey’s brand new beauty brand. Her first line of products launched on January 25th, 2021 and were designed to promote creative expression through makeup. The brand prides in being “multi-dimensional” and offers a wide variety of make-up products. On February 8th, Halsey announced her “ANTI-VDAY” collection through a Mean Girls-inspired promotional video with Natalie Mariduena, Quenlin Blackwell, Rico Nasty, and Chris Mintz-Plasse. Fenty Skin – Rihanna
Rihanna started her inclusive beauty line, Fenty Beauty back in 2017. On July 31st, 2020, she launched Fenty Skin. The skincare line is gender-neutral and perfect for all skin types. It includes multiple products in addition to a starter 3-step skincare routine. The first step is a cleanser, the second step is a toning serum, and the third step is a moisturizer with SPF. In her interview with Vogue, Rihanna explained that she insisted on her line being all-inclusive because “Skin is skin.”

Keys Soulcare – Alicia Keys
Singer Alicia Keys launched Keys Soulcare on December 3rd, 2020. Although the brand includes skincare products, it is more than a beauty line. In addition to beauty products, Keys Soulcare sells products intended for overall self-care and soul-nourishment, explaining that “beauty is more than skin deep.” For this line, Keys partnered with Dermatologist Dr. Renée Snyder in creating the skin care products. The first “ritual kit” includes a candle, cream, and face roller. Since then, more products have been launched and the brand is currently working on more ritual kits.
