Judging Bachelor Contestants By Their Rose Ceremony Outfits

The last few episodes of Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor are about to air, and America is more than ready for this season to wrap up. Between all the unnecessary “drama” (if it’s even considered drama), and Peter’s poor decision-making, season 24 has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. When these seasons first air, it’s hard to tell what each girl’s personality is like and whether or not they’d be a good match for the bachelor, simply because there are so many contestants. Regardless, this didn’t stop Bachelor producers from letting petty drama and pointless arguments play out amongst the girls. Some were feisty, some played the mean girl, and some minded their own business—but after Peter finally cut the group down, us viewers got a sense of what he’s working with. True colors will soon be shown as we get a better sense of what each contestant is like. Now that the drama is all over with, let’s make some judgments based off Episode 8’s Rose Ceremony.

The girls begin to enter the rose ceremony at about 1:14:00 if you stream it on Hulu, and Madison’s bright smile and long, glittery silver pantsuit are the first things you see. At first glance, it looks as if she’s wearing a high-school prom dress that’s overdone with glitter, but we were relieved when the camera panned out and both her legs were visible in a long pantsuit. She pairs this with matching silver earrings, which looks amazing with the ensemble. This tells us Madison has a sense of style, despite her dressing like she just won the Bachelor. She’s bold and intentional, but doesn’t go over the top, which we may see play out in her and Peter’s relationship. She tells Chris Harrison she’s nervous, but her confidence outshines the nerves as she keeps her composure during the ceremony.

Hannah Ann arrives next, and just as she felt unsure about where she stood with Peter, a lot of Bachelor viewers felt very unsure about her dress. She wore a short, black dress with lace flower detail around the shoulder straps, and through parts of the dress, the nude-colored lining was visible. This dress was paired with large silver hoops and silver heels. Despite channeling a high school homecoming dance vibe, the strappy and open back at least looked flattering on Hannah Ann. Overall, Hannah Ann’s entire outfit was an interesting look to channel at a rose ceremony, as it looked almost unfitting for the occasion. Viewers are either rooting for Hannah Ann to win, or they think she can do better. Regardless, the couple is cute, but they could likely each find someone that fits one another better in their own way.

Next, Kelsey walks in a wearing a long sleeve, dark green wrap-tie dress. It’s a short dress like Hannah Ann’s, but the dark color contrasted perfectly with her light blonde hair. It’s poised, sleek, and classy, although she could have done her hair differently or worn some different jewelry to fully channel this vibe. The only downside about her dress was it appeared to be velvet or another cheap material, so it may not have looked as aesthetic as she intended. Kelsey’s outfit as a whole appears to be a little half-assed, like her and Peter’s relationship, but nonetheless she still served the look with a smile. Despite getting sent home this round, Kelsey was confident in her feelings and told Chris Harrison she confessed her love for Peter.

Finally, Victoria F. walks out of the limo, ready to pour out her emotions to anyone who will give her the time of day (surprise!). But also, surprisingly enough, her outfit was probably the best one out of the four. The long satin-like emerald wrap dress looked phenomenal with her hair and skin color, and even though she acted far from put-together, her appearance gave a different impression. Once she stands next to Kelsey, you can see how similar their dresses are. Peter’s decision comes down to the two ladies in green, and Victoria makes it past another round. The key must lie in the details, because Victoria F. knows exactly how to keep Peter around. Let’s see if Peter finally realizes how crucial details can be when he narrows the group even further next week!

Strike Out,
