Infinite Illumination: Behind the Scene

Bright. Bold. Striking. Nurturing a fervent flame means never settling for the conventional — we wouldn’t dare.

BEHIND THE SCENES

“What infinite illumination means to me, it’s like Strike now showing that we are bold and striking. We know who we are, and we are confident. I think that was really shown through the photos and the meaning the Content Team created. This is also shown through the styling and clothes that were chosen. They’re loud, flashy pieces. This was the first time that we did an outdoor fire and nighttime shoot, and it was really fun. I’m glad that we could do something new for Issue 07. ”

— ERIN HU, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

“The inspiration for the beauty team, and the overall look for this shoot, came from the concepts of passion, boldness and intensity. We wanted the makeup to stand out in a way that shows radiance and power from within. The beauty for this shoot differed from the others in the way our team got to incorporate tons of metallic, wet and reflective looks. We were able to take the concept of the shoot and display that on our models with some subtle and some statement looks that tied everything together.”

— KATIE GEREMIA, BEAUTY ASSISTANT

“Strike’s whole brand circulates around our daring, electrifying and bold character. To demonstrate those qualities, you often have to take risks and do the unexpected. Infinite Illumination is a snippet of the passion we radiate when expressing our creative power. Producing a shoot in front of a 10-foot-tall scorching fire is not only a risk, but it is a testament as to how far we will go in our creative endeavors.”

— JACOB WALL, CONTENT TEAM ORANGE DIRECTOR

“We have never worked with fire before, so I was appointed to pose the models for this shoot and keep them safe. The female models are two of my best friends, which turned out great because they were comfortable channeling their fierce and sexy sides for the shoot. I wanted to highlight the fierceness of fire through powerful posing that still allowed the models to catch the glow from the fire in each shot. This was one of my more stressful shoots, but it became one of my favorites in the final photos and films. ”

— NICOLE POPLEWKO, ASSISTANT CREATIVE DIRECTOR

“Infinite Illumination represents inner strength and power. I think the shoot reflects this because it was a shoot that exuded a lot of confidence within the models and their stances, their poses, how they dressed. I felt the shoot was embracing who you are and using your strengths to your advantage and owning your weaknesses as well. It’s also about how you can make your weaknesses your strengths. It portrayed this fire, this drive and this passion, and that is what infinite illumination means to me ... It’s also about the fire within you that allows you to express yourself freely and be who you truly are without worrying about what other people think or labels. Live by your own rules.”

— SOPHIE COLLENGETTE, WRITER, CONTENT TEAM ORANGE ASSISTANT
