Holiday Beauty Wishlist

With the holidays right around the corner, it’s always fun to reevaluate and revamp your beauty routine. These are some of my all-time favorite skin care and beauty products that I think deserve a place on your wishlist this year.

1. Nécessaire The Body Lotion

Nécessaire is a sustainable, ethical, clean beauty brand that focuses on both simplicity and effectiveness when it comes to their formulations. They specialize in body and sex care products and are known for their “obsessively researched ingredients”. My favorite product from this line is their body lotion, which is formulated with antioxidants as well as multiple omegas and vitamins, in order to achieve a fast drying yet hydrating product.

2. Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

Paula’s Choice is another brand that I love because of their focus on transparency and simplicity when it comes to formulation. I like to know exactly what I am putting on my skin, and this company does a great job of going past gimmicky marketing tactics and explaining their ingredient lists. Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant is a cult favorite product known for minimizing the appearance of pores and fine lines by gently exfoliating the dead skin cells that make these imperfections more visible.

3. Sunday Riley C.E.O Glow

Sunday Riley is a female owned and founded skincare brand dedicated to producing high quality formulas that are both sustainable and cruelty free. The majority of the brands products are vegan and they make an effort to limit their carbon footprint by using a “carbon credits” system. This procedure allows the brand to purchase a certain number of carbon credits which limits the amount of greenhouses gasses they are permitted to produce. I received a free sample of this product and was initially very skeptical. Typically when a product claims to include Vitamin C, it usually does not contain a high enough percentage of it to actually be effective. When I used this product however, I was surprised with how quickly I saw results in my skin texture and brightness.

4. Glossier Cloud Paint

I was debating including Glossier on this list, simply because the brand as a whole seems to focus more on the aesthetics of their products rather than formulation. For this reason, I’m not a huge fan of their skin care line, but recently I have been obsessed with the brand’s iconic, incredibly subtle makeup. Cloud Paint is a very subtle and natural cream blush that is meant to be applied with your finger- tips for a natural and effortless look. My favorite shade is dusk, but they have a variety of different colors suited for every skin tone.
