With such air and whimsy, Chloé’s spring/summer 2025 collection makes me want to frolic in a field or invent a time machine to attend Woodstock.
Held at the Tennis Club De Paris, the white catwalk was elevated by some touches of greenery, from cascading leaves to large potted palm fronds. In the front row were some familiar Chloé girls, such as Sienna Miller, Selma Blair, Karlie Kloss, and Pom Klementieff.
The show opened with the sound of the Cocteau Twins’ “Lorelai” and followed with “Valley of the Morning Sun” by Kendra Smith and “I Met the Beast” by Martin Dupont. As models walked, their silhouettes were first spotted behind a glass block wall reminiscent of the Art Deco architectural style of the 1930s and ‘40s.
The first fabrics were ethereal and light, with white lace and ultra-sheer tops. There were bloomers, long and short, bomber jackets, and airy dresses that “float” as models walked.
Styling was perfection, done by Elodie David, with some looks featuring large framed ‘70s-inspired sunnies, Chloé branded graphic tees, and mesh tops tucked into bootcut jeans. The collection featured bubble skirts, ruffled hemlines, and meshed midi skirts and pants with ballooned hemlines at the bottom to create soft, billowy silhouettes.
To be a Chloé girl, you must love gold. David embraced this in full, with looks adorned by gold bags, pearl-accented gold earrings, fringe tassels, and statement seashell pieces. Some ensembles were completed with gold or white strappy kitten heels and flats. The star of the show was the gold cursive Chloé-labeled belts and chokers, similar to ones seen last season.
The first half of the collection featured a gorgeous, airy color palette with light, white, and peachy tones. As Miranda Priestly once said, “Florals for spring… groundbreaking.” Well, yes! Given the lack of them this season, the second half of the collection’s florals was, in fact, groundbreaking.
The Chloé girl embodies the essence of boho chic—free-spirited, whimsical, and effortlessly cool. Chemena Kamali’s second season delivered an ethereal, ultra-light femininity, setting the tone for the breezy styles we’re excited to see this spring.
