What the strike writers are wearing

This year, fall fashion has come in many forms to me. I find myself bringing new life to old pieces I have not worn in years. Even with a few additions, I have found they elevate something that I had thrown off as out of style before.

As fall comes into full swing, I find myself looking for inspiration all around me. From the bright green of the leaves to the way the light casts across my desk, I see the possibility of the application of color into fashion. Everyday when I have the time and am able to, I try to create an outfit that brings me joy. It is my time in the morning that I look forward to and a space where I can put my most creative foot forward. I will scroll through Pinterest for hours planning on how I can use my pieces to create something I have never worn before.

Yet so often, the inspiration I need is from those around me. I am surrounded by some of the most artistic and creative individuals on campus, and their fashion always reflects the mind. I hope you can also find some inspiration from your very own Strike Chattanooga Writers.

Kushi

Kushi is wearing a matcha green skirt embroidered with flowers. To match the skirt, she has paired a cozy cardigan on top of a classic white tee. For shoes, she choose a white New Balance sneaker to pull the whole outfit together.

AK

I choose to wear a psychedelic patterned cardigan and “cow” pants. I wore my black Doc Martens for shoes. For a fun pop of color, I wore my cloud earrings from local jewelry artist The Bumble Bead.

Zay

Zay choose a matcha and white cropped cardigan on top of classic blue shorts for a perfect look for transitional fall weather. Her pop of jewelry is from Hot Topic and Cosmic Connections.

Bria

Bria is wearing an adorable black and white sweater paired with a pleated black skirt. To pull together the whole fit, she has chosen baby doll socks and black shoes.

Rebecca

Becca is wearing a classic 90s outfit with long shorts and a blue t shirt.

Hanna

Hanna has shared her outfit from before the Father John Misty concert. She paired a white top with a lace up jean skirt.

Sophie

Sophie is wearing a classic grunge look with camo printed pants. She pulls the look together with a brown tank top and white cardigan.
