The ULTAmate Takeover
Although there is no introduction needed, Kim Kardashian West and her sister Kylie Jenner have created a makeup empire together, even though they both have two completely different makeup lines. For those who may not be aware, Kardashian Wests' signature cosmetics line is called KKW Beauty while Jenner's multi-billion dollar cosmetic line is called Kylie Cosmetics. At one point, both Kardashian Wests' and Jenners' products were only sold online, and if you didn't have the particular item in your shopping cart within 30 seconds, well, tough luck. This inconvenience is no longer as Kylie Cosmetics is now offered at all Ulta locations and come Fall 2019, so will KKW Beauty. By doing this, Ulta will benefit incredibly as these cosmetic products are at a very high demand, especially during the holidays.
KYLIE COSMETIC'S
KKW BEAUTY
If you have visited an Ulta Store lately, the first thing you see upon walking in is Kylie Cosmetics makeup stand.
Offering a full range of cosmetic products like eye shadows, blushes, highlighters, matte lipsticks, to liquid lipsticks, Kylie Jenner has produced it more and then some. At Ulta, you can find some of Jenner's most popular products like lip liners and lip kit's which give you the notorious Jenner look, a fuller lip. Due to her very successful beauty line, Jenner's Net Worth is a whopping 1 Billion Dollars and at just 21 years of age, the "celebrity-turned-makeup mogul" is the "youngest self-made billionaire ever."
As KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetic's continue to grow, so will Ulta. Offering these highly popular products in-store will create for traffic which ultimately creates more revenue for the store as a whole. It is exciting to see where beauty products are heading in today's makeup culture. Makeup trends may change, but Kim and Kylie will always be one step ahead, ready to produce the next best thing.
To some, it may seem that Kim and Kylie are in competition with one another but to them, it is as simple as supporting one another while "seeing all of the hard work that goes into creating a makeup empire."
In an interview with Bustle.com, Kardashian West said that although she has had many other signature lines with her sisters, KKW is "different" because it is just her. Kylie's line is more so lipsticks with pops of color, while Kim wants to focus more on contour and concealers for the skin. Ulta made a very smart business decision when bringing KKW into stores considering her first-ever contour kit launch, which was sold exclusively on her website only, "sold out an estimated 300,000 units within 2 hours". The Kardashians are known for having a very large following due to their hit reality show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" but now they are also creating a name for themselves in the very competitive cosmetic industry.
