The Oscars 2022: Red Carpet Fashion Favorites

While watching the awards show is enjoyable, there is nothing quite like appreciating the red-carpet fashion. From Timothée Chalamet’s shirtless ensemble to Lupita Nyong’o’s gold sequin gown, the 2022 Oscars outfit trends are all anybody is talking about. These awards are known for being among the most prestigious and renowned in the entertainment industry, but my favorite part of all is evaluating the style evolution of these celebrities from one year to the next! It’s impossible to choose just one, so here are a few of the Oscars 2022 red carpet fashion favorites.

Making an appearance in a gorgeous green gown created by Dolce & Gabbana is the queen herself, Tiffany Haddish. The actress and presenter stuns fans in this custom-made sparkly green statement. Haddish was the presenter for Best Foreign Film at this year’s awards ceremony and absolutely killed it in this glamourous getup with a natural makeup look. Between the matching Pomellato jewels, bleached hairdo, and elegant train, this is probably one of the most iconic looks from Tiffany ever.

Rachel Zegler in Christian Dior SS22 Couture is what everyone needed and more. Personally, I am obsessed with this very flattering sheer black beaded dress. In addition to highlighting her physique in this gown, she also wore a chic new bob hairstyle that underlined the most beautiful gold choker necklace. What’s more, amid presenting at the Oscars, the West Side Story actress jokingly remarked on the fact that she was invited to the Oscars only six days before. Of course, despite the short notice, Zegler did not fail to wow the public with her classic look.

Nominated for best actor for his role in Tick, Tick... Boom! as Jonathon Larson, Andrew Garfield showed up at the Academy Awards as handsome as ever in this lux look from Saint Laurent. From the velvet jacket to the floppy bowtie, fans were swooning over this chic ensemble. Garfield, known for his sophisticated style, was among one of the many fashion-forward men on the 2022 Oscar's red carpet.

My personal favorite, showing up looking like royalty, is none other than Lily James in Atelier Versace FW21 Couture. Lily is known for her class and elegance, but her stylists truly outdid themselves this time, making her the epitome of a Disney Princess from top to bottom. Accessorizing with a stunning silver diamond necklace, pink platform heels, and sparkly stud earrings, James took my breath away.

Looking back at these Hollywood stars turned fashion icons, I think that the Oscars’ dress code has been changed for future ceremonies forever. This year was definitely one for the books, and I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see Hollywood’s favorite stars return next year looking better than ever.

Strike Out,
