Makeup Looks to Try This Spring/Summer 2021
With winter coming to a bittersweet close and the warm welcome of spring greeting us soon, we will say goodbye to dryness and hello to dewy, golden summer skin. Whether or not that is the case for you, here are some pleasingly bright looks to enhance your spring/summer glow.
If you have been looking for an excuse to step out of your comfort zone in your day to day glam, what better time than now to try something new. This spring/summer is a great opportunity to spice up your liner game with the latest color and shape trends.
A bright, bold cyan wing certainly adds a pop of color to any look while staying true to those timeless spring pastels. If this is not your style but you still wish to experiment with liner looks, you are in luck. A classic wing using any color of choice can serve as a nice substitution for the traditional black wing.
If you have already mastered the simple wing, I challenge you to incorporate more graphic liners into your eye looks. The first look (below) is very intense, it could be used to your advantage to make a strong, powerful statement. Because of this, feel free to explore other colors with more ranging tones.
Still on the topic of graphic liners, the following look radiates warm and heavy 70s vibes in addition to a groovy butterfly aesthetic that segways us from spring to summer.
If you are looking for a crisp, classic look that is still different than a traditional black liner, try out some graphic white liner. Clean and refreshing, white liner is a revitalizing way to spring into the new year, being that we are still only a couple months into 2021.
If eyeliner simply is not your forte, that is okay…it isn’t my style either. Personally, I enjoy throwing some eyeshadow on and calling it a day (or a night). This spring and summer shimmery 90s-esque colored lids are definitely what’s in this season. If this sounds more like your approach to eye makeup, the next few looks are something to check out.
So simple to achieve through a little blending here and there, this look does a fantastic job of bringing together springtime pastels. This design is especially one to consider, for it is great for people at any level of makeup artistry to master. If you are looking for something a little more natural, then the next look might be for you.
I am absolutely obsessed with this look. If you are more into earth tones, this design makes great use out of a gorgeous olive-green color. Pairing ever so nicely with a shadow, the gloss gives the look a dewy feel to give the illusion of a sun beaming onto your eyelids (even if you are indoors).
If you are not into the use of heavy eye shadow and prefer to maintain a more raw look, I recommend trying a dose of dewiness with a touch of highlighter for the sun to shine on in all the right ways. However, if you are willing to be a little more daring with your face makeup, the next blush look by makeup artist Josie Hanuska is for you.
These looks are absolutely amazing. If you are big into blush, these makeup styles will give you Queen of Hearts goodness, woodland fairy energy, cottage core vibes, and more. You name it, this blush look does it!
Whatever your makeup preferences are, I encourage you to try something new this Spring/Summer 2021. Makeup can be intimidating at times but as long as you are having fun and loving how you feel, then by my standards, you are doing it right!
