Kim K Drops New Line of Biker Shorts For the Pool: and the World Praises Her
Love them or hate them, it’s hard not to admit that the Kardashian sisters know how to build themselves an empire. With each promoting different brands, we’ve been introduced to Kardashian denim, makeup, tequila, shape-wear, wellness subscriptions, skin care, baby products, clothing lines, and even luxury socks. Covering every market, it's difficult to find a product that lacks the Kardashian stamp of approval.
One sister brand that has seemed to skyrocket as of recent is Kim’s shapewear line, Skims. Promising quality shapewear for all sizes and receiving high praise across the board, Kim’s line seems to get the job done.
Worshiped by many, Skims includes multiple nude-colored bras, bodysuits, push up bras, sleepwear, undergarments, and more. The brand appears to have something for everyone, as prices range from $18 to $98 and include sizes from XXS to 5XL.
Due to the brand's great success, it came as no surprise when Kim announced the launch of her new line, Skims Swim. Selling out in a matter of minutes, this new swimwear line includes over 19 pieces, ranging from seven different colors. However, what really makes this swimline stand out is its versatility.
Ever wished your favorite cropped tee, biker short, or unitard doubled as a swimsuit? Well then you’re in luck. With something for everyone, the Skims Swim line offers classic triangle cut bikinis, modest one pieces, biker shorts, mini skirts, long sleeve rash guards, cropped tees and much more. Emulating the shapewear and designs Skims is noted for, it seems to be a breath of fresh air for many.
Although I haven’t had the opportunity to perform a true quality test myself, according to Skims the suits are all made of a blend of spandex and nylon. The line has received much praise from the small community of avid shoppers who managed to grab one, and so far the quality and design has blown the horrific joke that was Kylie Swim out of the water.
To promote the launch even further, Skims hit the streets of the Miami design district. The brand curated a while-limited-supply-lasts pop up with lines wrapping around the block that had wait times of up to four hours. Offering Skims ice cream, water bottles, totes, and of course swimwear, the event seemed to be widely successful. Kim and Khloe were seen celebrating in the Magic City all weekend.
So, I give major kudos to the Skims product development team. As to quote Ms. Kim K herself, it appears they truly “got their fucking asses up to work,” producing one of the most inclusive swimwear lines on the market. And now the world patiently awaits, alarms set, for the big restock.
