I Tried These Online Skincare Products So You Didn’t Have To

I know it is impossible not to see shimmering ads for beauty and skincare while scrolling through social media. The brands lure you in with promises of beautiful, clear and glowing skin. It makes it hard to not give in and bite the bullet. So, I did just that. I tried these common online skincare products, so you don’t have to!

The first brand I bought from was Sand and Sky. They are probably most popular for their Australian Pink Clay Mask, which was one of my two purchases from this company. This is a thick clay mask, so it might get a little messy during the application, but luckily they provide a cute little applicator brush to help you out during the process! After using this product for about a month, I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin’s complexion. Almost immediately after washing the mask off, I noticed a difference in the mirror. Not only does it even out the skin tone, but it helps to reduce redness of any spots you may have, and improves the tightness of pores. I will warn you, this one slightly stings upon application, but it quickly goes away. My only other critique is the size of the jar. For almost $50, you would think it would be just a little bigger. Even so, out of all of the products I have tried, this is my favorite, and I would recommend it to anyone! Just be a little careful if you have sensitive skin like me!

The second product, Australian Emu Apple Dreamy Glow Drops is also from Sand and Sky. With a name like that, I honestly had to try it. I mean, what is an Emu Apple? This product is a “Bi-phase serum targets deep in skin & locks in moisture,” meaning that you have to shake it every time you use it to combine the separate water and oil “phases” of the serum. It also means that this product is absolutely gorgeous, and I am a sucker for cute packaging. After using this for about a month, I have not noticed a huge difference. I tend to use it after my nighttime skincare routine, and while it leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft and supple without any sticky residue, I feel like any moisturizer could do the same and at a cheaper price tag. The product retails at the same price as the clay mask, $49.90, but if you want to test it out, I recommend waiting for one of the website’s sales! They almost always have some kind of promotion going on, so keep your eyes peeled!

The last product I tried was Anese’s That Booty Tho booty scrub. The product claims to target acne, stretch marks, and cellulite. Personally, I have nothing against my stretch marks, so my reasoning for purchasing this product was to get rid of acne down there. I have been using this product for a little less than a month, but I have already noticed a difference. The results may take a while to show, but in my opinion, it’s worth it! Not only has the acne’s appearance improved, but the overall texture has as well – without getting too much into detail, it’s a smoother booty! The only negative thing I have to say is that the smell was not necessarily pleasant, but not bad enough to turn me away. There are several mixed reviews on this product, but for me, it genuinely worked, so if you struggle with butt acne, I will definitely recommend this product. It retails for about $30, and according to reviews, should last a little over a month if used correctly.

I had a lot of fun trying out these products, but by far my favorite was the Australian Pink Clay Mask by Sand and Sky, mainly because of how quickly you see results. Do not be afraid to test out the other products though! Skincare is a different experience for everyone and it’s all about finding what works for you!
