Harry Did What to get on Screen?!

British pop sweetheart Harry Styles recently made his mark in the world of acting by playing one of the lead roles in Olivia Wilde’s utopia nail-biter, Don’t Worry Darling. The movie depicts the story of a young housewife, Florence Pugh, living in the Victory Project, who slowly discovers something ghastly lurking beneath the surface of the so-called suburban “heaven.”

Many of Styles’ fans were ecstatic about this acting gig. The thriller received a mix of reviews, mostly positive. But honestly, for the true Harry Styles fans, it seems like the drama behind the production struck more of an interest. If you’re not a Harry Styles stalker, then you may ask, what drama? What drama? Oh, you’re in for a treat. This drama we’re about to analyze has actually caused speculation that the world’s beloved Harry Styles, in fact, f*cked his way on screen. In the months leading up to the movie's release, fans were held captive by everything from casting malfunctions to an on-set love affair.

Some people may not know that Shia LaBeouf was originally supposed to play Styles’ role as Jack. LaBeouf exited the film in September 2020, and Styles took over. There was talk for months as to whether LaBeouf departed himself or if he was fired. Finally, People confirmed in December 2020 that director Olivia Wilde actually fired him. Apparently, Mr. LaBeouf needed a major attitude adjustment.

But where exactly did Styles come into play? That’s what we are all wondering. Strike’s bet is that Wilde and Styles were messing around for a little bit; Styles was more than just in her mind…

In April 2022, Olivia Wilde was served custody papers while promoting her new movie at CinemaCon. That’s right, her long-time fiance, Jason Sudeikis, served her.

Sudeikis and Wilde were engaged for seven years but never ended up officially eloping. The pair share two children. Clearly, their relationship is no more. But the debate is, did Wilde really connect with Styles post-firing LaBeouf and post-breakup with Sudeikis? The world may never know for sure, but it would be more interesting if that were the case, so let's just go with that.

Based on what the Wilde and Sudeikis’ nanny reported, Sudeikis was far beyond distraught with the news of Styles and Wilde getting together. He was so distraught that he threw himself under her car. Yeah—love makes you do weird things, I guess?

Sudeikis was so shattered by Wilde dumping him for Styles that he really laid under her car to keep her from meeting him. Is that psycho? The children of Wild and Sudeikis’ nanny disclosed the crazy event to Page Six

“The night she left with her salad, Jason had chased after her, videotaping her in the house. She said: ‘I’m scared of you, Jason, I’m scared of you.’ And he said: ‘If you’re scared of me, why are you leaving your kids with me?’”

“So then, Jason went outside and lay under her car so she wouldn’t leave. She got in her car to back up. He lay under her car so she wouldn’t leave.” To be clear, Wilde supposedly made a very “special” salad dressing to bring Styles for dinner. That really sent Sudeikis over the edge.

I really can’t picture myself ever throwing myself under a car for someone, but hey, to each his own, I guess.

The whole timeline of this dilemma can be a little confusing. Did Wilde really fire LaBeouf because of his attitude problems, or did she just want Styles on her screen? Did she leave Sudeikis for Styles, or was their relationship done long before? No matter what the people involved say, the public will still never truly know. It’s definitely an interesting and juicy dilemma, and I’m sure there’ll be more juice released in the weeks to come.
