Five Trendy Valentines Day Beauty Looks to Try

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and after staying home all year, we could all use an excuse to get dolled up and look cute this year. Regardless of if you’re spending the day with a significant other, friends or by yourself at home, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to experiment with a new beauty look. Whether it’s hair, makeup, or nails, I’ve got your Valentine's day glam inspiration covered with these five stunning beauty looks.

Monochromatic Pink

One of the easiest ways to make makeup look fun without putting in too much effort is to go the monochromatic route. Pink is obviously very on theme for Valentines’ day but it’s also a versatile shade that looks good on the eyes, lips and cheeks. All you really need for this look is some kind of pink metallic eyeshadow, opaque pink lipstick or gloss, and a rosy-colored blush. If you’re not into intense makeup looks you can make it more subtle by using a multi-use stick like this one from Ilia as a three-in-one eye, lip, and cheek product.

Thick Winged Liner and Heavy Blush

This simple winged liner and heavy blush look very much give off baby doll vibes and we’re definitely here for it. Another simple makeup look that can be done within minutes but will make you look like you spent hours on it. The main components of this look are a stark black liner and a bubblegum pink blush. To make it a little more elevated, try drawing on some fake freckles and adding wispy false lashes.

Queen of Hearts

If you’re really in the Valentine’s Day spirit then this heart eye and red lip combo are perfect for you. For the eyes, start out with a simple neutral base or soft smokey eye and use a red-eye pencil to draw on the hearts. For the face make sure to use a subtle blush and highlight combination to add some color. Top off the lips with a long-lasting liquid lipstick and you’re all done.

Heart Nails

Nail designs are all the rage right now and chocolate brown is arguably the hottest trend so why not combine the two for Valentine’s Day? These brown heart nails are everything I need and more. This design can also be worn all year long since it’s not too obviously festive. If you’re brave enough to attempt this mani design at home, here’s the perfect nail kit to use.

Pink Hair

It doesn’t get much more festive than pink hair and this style is sure to make a statement. This year, ditch the basic romantic waves and opt for a bolder, more fun style. My personal favorite temporary pink dye to use on lighter hair is the Loreal Colorista. If you have darker hair, try this Overtone Pink for Brown Hair to get a subtle pink hue.
