Democracy, But Make It Fashion

What we’re wearing November 3rd

The biggest event of the year is approaching fast and all the cool kids will be participating. Your outfit has to be major; we need a serious ‘fulfilling your civic duty’ moment.

All jokes aside, the 2020 presidential election is all about showing up and making your voice heard. At Strike, we say cast your ballot in style. Whether you’re mailing in your vote or going traditional with in-person voting, we’ve got the perfect constitutional-chic ensemble.

This guide will offer information on voting in Florida. For voting resources in your state, visit vote.org.

Vote By Mail

Fashion, functionality and convenience meet here. Vote-by-mail is for those who want to make their voice heard and keep it moving. It’s a great way to participate in the election without risking any exposure to coronavirus; and you can even fill out your ballot from the comfort of your couch.

If you’re hoping to drop off your mail-in-ballot at a local elections office, we suggest an effortless loungewear look—like this three-piece set from Free People. Coordinating loungewear undoubtedly makes wearing pajamas in public socially acceptable and autumn essential. You’ll look perfectly put-together to cast your ballot and make your voice heard. Keep it chic and comfy with these fuzzy leopard slippers and staple gold hoops from Madewell.

March to your ballot drop-off location in a monochrome ensemble by pairing a tan cropped knit sweater from ZARA and BDG Baggy brown tie-dye jeans. Finish off the voter-chic look with ivory Sam Eldelman chelsea boots to make a statement at the polls.

While the outfit may take no time, voters that choose to cast their ballot via male must remain mindful of important deadlines. Prior to the election, voters needed to request a vote-by-mail ballot. The final day to return ballots by mail or in-person is 7:00pm on Election Day, so make sure your ballot is filled out and returned as soon as possible. Click here for all the details.

ELECTION DAY

Just like a good pair of blue jeans or the perfect red lip, Election Day voting is classic and all-American. This tried-and-true method of casting your vote has shaped America since its founding. As most people in a typical election prefer this format of voting, it is important to expect longer lines at the polls. Respect your fellow voters on Election Day by adhering to social-distancing guidelines, stocking your bag with hand sanitizer and wearing a mask.

Flaunt your patriotism at the main event with a timeless pair of Levi’s jeans and a pair of Converse Final Club 70s. Finish off the look with a tie-dye button-down Raga Man shirt.

Layer up for the lines with a green Everlane crew neck and an orange quilted ZARA overshirt. Complete the look with Topman checkered straight pants and a pair of Reebok club c 85 vintage sneakers.

For a simple yet edgy poll look, we suggest H&M faux leather pants and a Glassons baby crop tee. Amp up the look with white platform Dr. Martens and be sure to add an I Voted sticker.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Make sure to bring a valid photo ID and provide a signature. Here is a list of the accepted photo IDs.

While Election Day may have you feeling anxious and overwhelmed, channeling your nervous jitters into a civic-duty statement look will give you a much needed confidence boost to cast your vote with passion. So grab your favorite mask, pick your favorite Strike approved Election Day look and execute your voting plan today.

Strike Out,
