Big Time Rush Is back
The 2010 Nickelodeon boy band, Big Time Rush, has slowly been making a comeback to pop culture. For many, it wasn’t until their most recent single, “Can’t Get Enough,” that people realized the band was even back together. Back in 2009, when Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush show premiered, the boys gained a large following, mainly consisting of teenagers and young adults. Even after the show ended, Carlos PenaVega, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Kendall Schmidt maintained a close friendship.
Big Time Rush is back to making music again, this time as adults rather than tiny little teenagers. In 2022, they traveled to a few cities across America for their “Forever” tour, and at the end of February, the band will start touring Latin America to finish off the tour. Big Time Rush is currently selling tickets for their summer Can’t Get Enough Tour in North America.
The boys were featured on NBC’s TODAY Show, where they announced they’d be going on tour again and performed the new single, “Can’t Get Enough.” Big Time Rush shared with Music Mayhem Magazine, “The Can’t Get Enough Tour is going to be a wild ride. Since our first shows back in 2021, we decided this isn’t a reunion. This is a comeback. The Can’t Get Enough Tour is going to be bigger than ever. We are pushing ourselves to make the best show possible so that every night is truly special. This is going to be a tour you do not want to miss.” Fans, including myself, are curious to see how the band’s music style has progressed. It will be interesting to see whether they incorporate the original aspects of their music into their new album. PenaVega exclusively told E! News, “...I was a huge fan of what we did back in the day. It had such a fun energy that we all didn't want to lose. And I think our new stuff definitely has that energy, but it's a lot more current… Music has evolved, and I think that we did a great job still keeping the Big Time Rush DNA but making it a lot more current."
Since the bands, prime time, music, and pop culture have changed immensely, it’s clear that the band has even updated its fashion style. On the cover photo for the new single, the boys are pictured wearing more urban-styled outfits, which incorporate more feminine elements like a floral print. In pop culture, it’s becoming more regular for men to dress less masculinely and touch more fashionable characteristics. It’s cool to see Big Time Rush following the wave.
