Bella Hadid is Back!

Bella Hadid is back, baby!

Arguably one of the most fabulous supermodels of our generation, Hadid has been absent from the runway since the spring/summer 2023 season. Now, she has made her return four seasons later for the Saint Laurent show in Paris today.

After much speculation, Bella Hadid announced that she was “finally healthy” in August 2023 after enduring a decade-long battle with Lyme disease. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she expressed deep gratitude to her mother, Yolanda Hadid—who also suffers from the illness—for her unwavering support throughout the years. She also thanked the doctors who played a vital role in her treatment and recovery. The post marked a moment of vulnerability and reflection, offering fans an intimate glimpse into her journey of resilience and healing. She writes in her caption, “I have so much gratitude for and perspective on life, this 100+ days of Lyme, chronic disease, co-infection treatment, almost 15 years of invisible suffering, was all worth it if I’m able to, God willing, have a lifetime of spreading love from a full cup, and being able to truly be myself, For the first time ever.”

Her catwalk was missed dearly, with fashion lovers and Bella Hadid fans eagerly awaiting her return to the runway; Hadid has still been actively modeling.

Although she is no longer working with the brand, she partnered with Charlotte Tilbury in March 2023 as the new face of the fashion company’s lip blur campaign. She has also continued to work with Victoria’s Secret and recently became a brand ambassador for Saint Laurent and the luxury jewelry company Chopard. She has also been on the cover of magazines such as Perfect Magazine, Vogue Italia, and W Magazine.

Outside of modeling, Hadid has continued her role as co-founder of Kin Euphorics, a non-alcoholic beverage company she launched with Jen Batchelor in 2017. More recently, she became the Founder and Chief Creative Officer after launching her brand, Orebella, an alcohol-free skin perfume brand with the slogan “reveal your alchemy.”

Much speculation arose that she would be walking the show after she was spotted out and about in Paris on Monday.

Finally, the 2022 CFDA Model of the Year graced the runway again with her commanding presence and iconic walk. For look no. 33, she wore a black oversized 90s-inspired suit in true fall and YSL fashion.

Fans rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to celebrate Hadid’s first show back. “BELLA IS BACK ON THE RUNWAY I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THIS,” wrote one user.

“THE QUEEN IS BACK,” wrote another.

Oh, Miss Bella Hadid, how we’ve missed you. An icon of our generation, her return to the runway is nothing short of electric. We can’t wait to see her walk more shows in the near future.
