Delicate Bodies

More than any other, our generation is obsessed with self image. We care more about how other people perceive us than about how we see ourselves, that we often forget our natural-born beauty. We attempt to mask our flaws, forgetting that such imperfections are what make us who we are. Inspired by the marble statues of classical Greek and Roman art, I honed in on the details — spotlighting what makes us prepossessing, rather than picking apart what we wish we could forget. With this shoot, I wanted to remind myself of the beauty that is within all of us. By stripping down to our barest form, we can once again appreciate the parts we often try so hard to forget.
