5 Spring Break Looks Certain to Make a Splash

Spring break is just around the corner! Whether your plans include a tropical retreat, a cruise adventure, or my personal favorite: a much-appreciated staycation, we’ve got you covered with five looks certain to turn heads no matter where you are.

The major trend to watch this spring is one of my all-time favorites: knitted, sheer, sometimes all-too-revealing garments. Following the collections of Staud, Proenza Schouler, and Bottega Venetta for S/S ‘24 late last year, open-worked garments are taking over our closets.

The ASTA RESORT Nina Camisole perfectly balances runway chic with comfort. This beautiful sequined knit top is lightweight, sheer, and fun—the perfect outfit to throw on over a bikini for a casual day of soaking in the sun or exploring a new town. A long, lightweight skirt is perfect to throw on for any occasion, and this Urban Outfitters sheer midi skirt breathes life and movement into this outfit with its tiered ruffles and knitted textures. Taking inspiration by the sea, I decided to pair this look with pearly accessories: specifically, this Etsy pearl star necklace and a pair of Sandy Liang earrings. Grab your sandals and choice of beach bag —I tend to prefer something more lightweight and dainty like these Target ribboned sandals and this Revolve woven.

If you’re looking for a more casual outfit, this next look has you covered. Metallic tones have become increasingly popular since last year, and this Superdown silver maxi skirt pairs perfectly with the cool purple tones of this floral sheer Free People top. Tie the look together with some cute silver jewelry pieces, like this fun and quirky fish necklace from Etsy and these pearly Sandy Liang earrings. We’re booked and busy this break, so finishing the look off with a comfortable, stylish pair of sneakers is key. Try these bubble gum pink and navy Adidas sneakers to complete your look. She’s trendy, cool, and transitions perfectly from a day of strolling about to a girls’ night out.

I don’t know about you, but I’m clinging onto every hope for summer in this next look featuring another ASTA RESORT (Can you tell that I’m obsessed with this brand?) garment: the vibrant orange mini dress. Are you planning a night out with your girls? Perhaps a dinner with a special someone? This flirty mini dress is your new best friend! Stack up your favorite gold jewelry—check out these beautiful flower statement earrings from Mignonne Gavigan and this dainty charm bracelet from Ettika—and throw on a classic pair of sandals—like these from Jeffrey Campbell—and voila! You’re ready to hit the town.

One of the biggest things to look forward to in Spring is warmer, longer and sunnier days. These next two looks are perfect for a day spent at the beach, pool, or a nice green patch of grass. Our first look features one of my favorite brands: Oséree. These sparkly bikinis are simply to die for and are synonymous with a carefree day spent at the beach. Building our look around this star of the show, I’m pairing this with an Old Navy mini jean skirt, DSW black strappy sandals, and a beautiful metallic woven beach bag. The look is classy and elegant, while still cheeky, fun, and youthful.

This next icy-blue metallic one-piece from Lovewave will have you shining like the sea. Its high rise and low back are both sexy and chic, leaving just the right amount of skin out when paired with mid-rise white linen pants (like this one from Athleta). Breathable, comfortable, and classic—white linens are a must for any vacation destination. These knotted strap sandals from Old Navy are the perfect shoe to slip on and don’t forget a cool pair of sunnies. These 90s-inspired Gentle Monster sunglasses are a final touch; our cherry on top.

So, whatever your spring break plans may be, we hope these five fun looks have got you excited to pack your bags and relax. And remember, nothing pairs better with any outfit than a nice tube of high-SPF sunscreen!

Strike out,

Nicole Moreno
